My latest www.IllustrationFriday.com submission. The topic was 'Flying'. I have been to busy to participate weekly but when the 'Flying' topic came through I could not pass the opportunity to create Dharma zooming accross the sky! So I made time!

Figured it was time to start working some personal illustration time in each week and this give me the perfect opportunity to build my library of Dharma Dog images. News from Good Dharma - June 2009

INTRODUCING DAISY DIVA!
There is nothing better than finding clients that challenge you with projects that are so enjoyable and fun it doesn't even feel like work. Launch Your Kid! for me is one of those clients. They are based out of Charlotte, NC and have a series of programs geared at teaching children at very young ages the importance of a healthy lifestyle through dance, yoga, and other activities. The first project I am working on with them is a book of activities and coloring sheets for their dance program "Little Diva Dance". This is the cover of the book featuring Daisy Diva. Stay tuned as over the next few months I will keep you updated on the other cool projects they have coming my way.

HELPING PEOPLE WITH ALZHEIMER'S

I have been working with a new company called Hippo Campus Headquarters with my old boss and long time friend Ginny Rosen back in Cleveland. Above is the logo I developed for them, and launching this month is the website which I also designed (see below). This is such a wonderful concept. They have a program full of activities geared towards helping people suffering with Alzheimer's and dementia while respecting the individual and helping to preserve their dignity. On a whim I submitted images from my recent book "My Mother Is My Friend" to Layers Magazine for their Digital Canvas section featuring reader's artwork. And I was included in the May/June issue! How cool is that?!

My Newest Cake Creation
For a recent BBQ Catering that we did, I created a 3d pig cake and placed it on a tier with 50 individual piggy cupcakes - with marshmallow noses, rolled out Starburst ears, and chocolate chip eyes. YUM!
